For our second release, we have selected a very rare, and extremely special Single Barrel, Cask-Finished Kansas City Whiskey. In 2022, we had the unique opportunity to acquire 10 very special casks from the legendary Vermouth producer, Tuve, from Torino, Italy. Torino is considered the birthplace of Vermouth, and Tuve is the oldest and most esteemed producer in the historic town. The casks are produced from French Oak, and are used for years in the production of Tuve's most exclusive Sweet Vermouth. While the Vermouth itself is naturally sweet, the concentration of specially selected herbs and botanicals impart an intense character that borders on Amaro. The deep flavors of raisin, plum, and spice pair beautifully with our Kansas City Whiskey. While we have sold some of these barrels over the years to independent retail stores or restaurants, this bottle represents the first time that we have made this bottling available directly to our customers. And the barrel that we have selected has sat in waiting since 2022 for this opportunity. This barrel of KC Whiskey has been cask-finished for more than 3 1/2 years, the longest that we have ever allowed for this process. The extended time in the Vermouth Cask allows the flavors and character to fully integrate into the Whiskey, while also allowing for additional oxidation, resulting in a beautifully complex Whiskey that delivers an incredible experience from the aroma to the long-lasting drawn out finish. For our first-ever Private Stock Society bottling, we selected three extraordinary barrels, all aged over 8 years at the highest points of our historic Kansas City warehouse. One of them reached a jaw-dropping 170.8 proof.

We blended these barrels to create a bottle that clocks in at 161 proof. Yes, you read that right.
